If you have read our blog then you have probably seen that we occasionally post warnings about new scams as we become aware of them. We do this because the internet is our workplace and we want to keep scammers out. A safer internet is good for everyone.
According to U.S. News and World Report, scammers stole an estimated $137B from U.S. citizens in the year 2022. That is a whole lot of money. It’s really sad because they target elderly people more than any other group.
This is why I enjoy watching videos of what are called “scam baiters”. These folks purposely make contact with scammers and make videos of their interactions. These videos serve to both entertain and educate the viewer.
Some of these scam baiters simply tie up scammers’ time which in turn prevents them from scamming other people. Whereas other scam baiters will actually scam the scammers, taking money from them in various ways. Usually the money they take is turned over to banks, donated to charity and some even try to try down the victims to return the funds.
In this article I want to tell you about my three favorite scam baiters. They each offer their own unique style and methods of making scammers’ lives miserable.
TheTekkitRealm
This young man is very good at what he does. He is probably one of the most feared and hated scam baiters on Earth. He uses various methods to gain access to scammers’ computers and will regularly retrieve stolen funds and then donate them to charity or turn the money over to banks. There is all kinds of humor in these videos and the editing is top notch in that it removes all the laborious footage and cuts right to the chase. He is currently my favorite scam baiter. Jim Browning
Jim is a more serious and straight forward scam baiter. He plays the victim with seriousness and allows scammers to connect to his virtual computer. Connections like this go both ways, as they say, and Jim is able to work his magic. He is responsible for shutting down many scammer call centers and has even tracked down victims personally to return their funds. Go there now
KitBoga
This guy’s channel is loaded with humor. He uses voice synthesizers to trick scammers into thinking he is a vulnerable elderly woman. He works directly with crypto exchanges like Kraken in order to shut down scam accounts. His animations which play as he interacts with the scammers are hilarious. Check him out! Go there now
